What we used to call "Irish soda bread" (i.e., soda-rising, rather than yeast-rising) is extremely easy to make. Those who welcome the taste of bread right out of the oven should definitely give it a try! I reached the point at which I could prepare two "loaves" in around fifteen minutes and clean up in around five or six more: not a lot of work for two delicious breads!
I've also used up to 50% buckwheat flour and sometimes added a cup of yogurt to the recipe.
